Panel 1: Lessons learned from the frontline

This panel will allow participants to exchange the policy practices and initiatives that have worked to enhance the playing field, productivity, and longevity of SMEs. Special attention will be paid to government initiatives and partnerships that have enabled SMS on the ground to operate and thrive, in particular in the last two years as packages that have also addressed the COVID-19 crisis.

Panel 2: Next steps for SMEs at the OECD

Forward looking in content, this second panel will take stock from the experiences shared in the first panel and identify the tangible and concrete initiatives that governments could scale up with the help of the OECD. Panelists will also indicate project areas where further OECD evidence and best practices could also facilitate SME policy design and roll out. Panelists will be asked how the OECD—over the next 12-24 month period—could make progress in the field of entrepreneurship.
